Emergency Power Outage

This class is taught by Xcel Energy who will talk specifically about our area, how they manage the power grid, reasons when they might need to call a "Public Safety Power Outage," along with these other topics:
- Creating a family communication plan and backup power solutions.
- Managing critical appliances and medical equipment during outages.
- Resources of where to apply for assistance for generators for critical medical equipment
- Identifying local resources (warming centers, emergency shelters).
- Safety around generators and alternate power sources.
If you would like to attend this valuable training, please register prior to the start of the class to ensure we have the amount of chairs to accomidate you.
