Due to the cost of providing EMS services to the District and to ensure that the residents and visitors we serve have the highest level of service, we bill for ambulance transport services only. If there is no transport, there is no charge for us to respond out to your home or work.
For District residents we bill insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare for all patients we transport. We will not balance bill (charge what insurance does not cover) to district residents due to an Executive Order written by the PGFPD Board of Directors from the community support of Measure 5A passed in 2018. Non-District residents we will balance billed and will collect for transport services.
The District uses a third party billing service. For ambulance billing payments or questions please contact EMS Billing Solutions at 303-431-6181.
